If the lights aren't on at all does that mean it needs a service? I thought mine was broke as there are no lights whatsoever. I have a reset tool found it in the boot but it was a bit wet. I ve dried it out now should i risk using it? Cheers

When you first switch on the ignition do any of the service indicator lights come on?

The LEDs and small bulbs are on a seperate small plug in circuit board, so if there are no lights at all, the chances are that the board has been removed to put the lights out.
It's not unusual for a faulty econometer to swing from one side to the other. Are you sure yours just stays on the left?

Yeah just stays to the left, off the scale! doesnt ever move wether engine is on or off. Is it easy to get behind there to check the service light chip?

You need to remove the cluster and open it up to get at the SI board and its daughter board.
I think how is in the tech articles.
