Hi Guys
I need to fit a new Intercooler & wondering if I locate it behind the rad. ie. in between engine & rad (I do have an electric fan.) will it still cool the charged air enough ?

no Matt, the heat transfer from the rad will carry that temp increase into the charge
IC up front, rad behind , I can sort you an alloy unit that will fit in the space you have and still allow good rad airflow, viscous can be retained too.

I was just thinking that on boost you will be traverling quickly and the air coming through the rad might be still be cold enough-since some cars don't even have intercoolers,
I don't want to cut any panels up & ground clearance is a pain at the moment,
But if it would warm the IC up it would be pointless

Wouldn't just warm it up, it would get up to around 70 or 80 degrees C, hotter than you should be seeing with a LOT of boost!

OK you convinced me, don't put an IC behind a rad.
How about putting theIC where the rad is and the rad right behind or would they be to close together?

Cheers guys, but I really don't want to cut any panels so will just fit it like I had it before & proberly fit -35 or -25 springs to raise the car a bit (currently on -60/40).
