Thats a shame. I assume it was marked up at over $38 on the declaration (£18 maximum free limit)

Yeah, no import duty on car parts I guess. No doubt parcelfarce are adding a bit on top. I have a large purchase waiting to arrive from the US. It's an agonising wait to see if I get stung. Was hoping at this time of year, the chances are lower, but knowing my luck, it wont make a bit of difference.

i may be wrong but I am sure you can wire this into Cat 1 car alarms. You use one of the outputs to do it. My Clifford did it on my old E30. Lights come on before entry and go off a couple of seconds after leaving. A good installer should be able to do this although i thought this was standard on most Cat 1 alarms.

Well not really - it's won't "fade" the light out. It's on ON or OFF type of thing.mikeyboy wrote:i may be wrong but I am sure you can wire this into Cat 1 car alarms. I should have another small batch of these ready in a few days time. I might have to sign up for a sellers account if anyone is interested.

Just fitted one of these and it works a treat. I needed to connect to the door pin to get the unit to work.
To do this I made up a wire link like this

about a foot long (this one was only a test).
Next unscrew the door pin and pull out to access the wires, unplug the brown one (not blue/brown) and connect the lead shown. The green wire on the George's unit connects to the other end.
