..no not for a s50 conversion ;)

i had a blow out on my tyres driving home and i still aint got the locknut to take come off. iv been to bmw and iv tried 4 locknuts out as i took the car there before it blew out. still no luck i tried today got bolt number 33 and it was a tad bigger, so i thought id hammer it in, no luck there either..

so untill that comes off, i cant drive it, i do not know what to do. scrap it is a good idea as it pissing me off, i might take a crowbar to the body and smash the prik up if it pisses me off more

when this is done im going to sell it.

I will pay anyone off here to come down and take the dam nuts off then that frigin headache will be over. :cheese: :cens:

Why not centre punch it, then drill the head of it, take out the stud and fit a new one.

If the wheel bolts are any good it will just wear drill bits out.

A mate of mine used a die grinder on his car, took him ages but didn't wreck the wheels etc.

Get a picture up, someone is going to be able to suggest something worth while.

when i had a puncture, the AA guy just hammered on a long socket.. kinda made me realise how shite some locking wheelnuts are, but was glad to get on my way again.

never thought to check for the key when i bought the car.. doh!

Kam

I've been reading your thread. Don't get vexed man...just chill. Something will give and you'll get it sorted. Don't smash the car up...easy now.

Tylerma's seems happy to help and that's the great thing about Zoners.

If you need anything, let me know and I'll see if I can help.

Years ago there used to be something called a gaitor grip a socket with loads of little pin type things that grip on what ever is there, i know from pesonal experience that you can undo locking wheel nuts with them but all depends on the space, another option is maybe to heat it a bit then smack a big allen key into it or something? Or depending on how much you like your wheels you could cut them off and get some new rims? best option is to try to smack something in there that will bite hex allen key might do it needs to be fairly big though as long as its smacked in straight should be ok and plenty of leverage. Dont know what else you could do other than drop the suspension out and try that way if possible? Good luck

I drilled out a couple of these kind of bolts on a 525 a while ago. Metal didn't seem particularly hard to drill.
