Hi, the screen on my 325 has a medium deep scratch from the wiper on the drivers side,
anyone recommend a glass polish or something to get rid of it?
or is it a new screen job?
Thanks Matt

Check your insurance policy, most cover windscreens, you just need to pay the excess (usually Ԛ£50)
if it's not bad enough for that, make sure it is before they arrive

Don't even think about trying to use G3 compound on it, it will weaken the glass int hat area. The screen is actually quite a sructural part of the car, save the grief later on and just get a new one, it's an MOT fail anyway if it's within drivers view.
As someone else suggested, just use your insurance, it doesn't count as a claim and you only have to pay the Ԛ£50 excess. Bargain, might go and put a chip in mine and get a new screen!!

I didn't think it was all that structural unless it's a bonded windscreen, the e30 one isn't, it's just held in with a rubber strip. I think in certain accident conditions you would be retriving your windscreen from 100 yards down the roadE30Adam wrote:Don't even think about trying to use G3 compound on it, it will weaken the glass int hat area. I just finished clearing the glue from the sunstrip off mine, if I had realised how hard it was I would have put a brick through it and claimed it on the insurance too lol
