Where should the needle sit in the temp guage? Mine never strays far from the blue area and i think the hot air blower should be hotter, it takes ages to clear me windows.
Could my thermostat be stuck open?
Or is this how it should be?

should just sit under the half way mark normally i think(mine does).

Do a diy job to change the thermostat £20 and see if its changed.

Thats spot on lads, looks like a visit to gsf is on the cards, do i have to get anything else to do the job (gasket,o-ring,etc.)?
This might work out cheaper than a jumper yet! :)

thermostat
oring(should come with)
and a new thermostat housing gasket.

drain rad
remove both thermostat housing pipes.
undo the housing 4*10mm bolts.
pull housing away
pull out thermostat
clean and refitt.
