As i cant run the ABS in pbmw and it doesnt work on my car anyway is the easiest way do bypass it changing the brake lines and running them straight to the master cylinder rather than going through the ABS unit?
cheers

well the easiest way would be to remove the fuse, but at least your way would allow you to also remove the system and save some weight.

I have removed my ABS and run lines direct to the MC. Quite a bit of weight, the wiring alone is a chunk!Timbopbmw wrote:As i cant run the ABS in pbmw and it doesnt work on my car anyway is the easiest way do bypass it changing the brake lines and running them straight to the master cylinder rather than going through the ABS unit?

ATE do a master cylinder for a 740i which is mean't to go straight in. Eurocarparts have them in stock. I'm hoping to get mine next week from somewhere else so I will put up some pics once it's in if you want?

i had a look at a local 320 yesterday,it was non abs and had the same master cylinder, but mine(abs)has a blank underneath. Now it looks very simple, just a case of making up the new pipe.
