Thinking of following in the footsteps of a lot of you on here. few questions first though.
what would the approx 0 - 60 time be for a m30 powered e30 coupe
is it best to use an E34 m30
What tuning options are there with the M30, (lairy cams, ported polished head, ecu upgrade etc etc) and are they common or rare as rocking horse shite.
Basically i wanna know if there can be more too it than just sticking a big engine in and leaving it be, i wanna know how far people have taken an M30 conversion, i've seen a few people on here with turbo set ups so

6 secs dead to 60 without too much trouble, my non-stripped 2dr with standard engine would do that.
e34/e32 engine is definately the best choice
NA tuning is possible but expensive for the gains you'll see - you'll get to 270bhp if you want to but it won't be cheap
adding a turbo makes a nice brisk E30!

plain 3.5 will make mid 14´s in the quarter mile.

though the quarter mile times don't look massively different, i find it's on the road that the difference really shows. it's got such a wife powerband that it transorms the feeling of 'grunt' a shed load. tuning N/A is expensive though as as the late ones are the right compression for F/I, that's just got to be the way forward!
