I have all the mechanical bits bar the head/sump for 150.

Thats eta block/pistons/rods
early 325 pistons/rods
eta crank.

then all you need is a 325 head, some engine decking and you got a high comp 2.7
OR

build it back up with the eta stuff and have low comp 2.7 perfect for FI

that would still be high comp @9ish:1 for 325i head and 10.2:1 for 320i head if it's an eta block/pistons/rods.

Reboring can be done but isn't cheap and you need to think of your budget and the time it will take.

Reboring from a 320 to 325i size pistons will cost alot more than usual. Also if you going to rebore you need to be replacing things like bearings and the oil pump. I replaced everything, machined everything and the rebuilt the engine, it cost me well over a grand with a new waterpump, gasket set, cambelt, new piston rings, new rockers, rocker shafts and a sporty cam too. Don't forget fluids, coolant and plenty oil changes whilst running in, it all adds up. You will also need a 325i inlet and exhaust manifold, injectors and possibly exhaust system.

In addition to all the above you should get the head ported to allow for the flow requirements. Costs are £400 minimum, i'd budget £600 for this. Are you able to build the engine youself?

After adding all this up it sounds like it would be better to do a M50/M52 engine swap.
