I have a BMW 1987 325e hardtop my car is the one on the right

i want to get am alpine white paint job soon
i also want to do a bumper tuck mod

i want to paint the top and bottom of the bumper white
and leave the black plastic strip in the middle black

how should i paint the bumper
sand it down the primer it then spray it with a gloss white?

remove the black inserts and spray as normal
then clean up the inserts before refitting

just noticed your bumpers are metal

make sure you use a good etch primer on them

can you guys be a little more specific
i have never done any painting my self

can i use a spray can and do this

what was the etch method?
