timing
Moderator: martauto
iv just put a new head gasket on, attached everything the way i pulled it out. but it is running real rough, now i have a feeling that the timing might be out a tooth. when i took it apart i just slide the belt off, and made a mark where it lines up with the pulley, but when i put it back together i managed to rub the mark out(rainy day), now im not sure if it is out, its really rough when cold and power is holding back to, any ideas

can you not get someone to do a quick Co test on the expansion tank?

no, it will show if there is any Co2 in the water, indicating a crack or leak. Did you not have the head checked when you had it off? And I assume that you had it off as it blew the gasket, so may have picked up some damage.
