i have a 2.5 m50 in mine and its miles better than the old m20 engine as its a much more smooth engine and it revs so much easier than the m20 plus the extra power is always good and you can tune it up to get decent bhp quite easily winkeye

Stick an M44 engine in and tune that loads of fun touring cars used it so can't be bad.
If I can't fix it I'll f**k it up so bad nobody can!!

Actually just read that you have a Sport so stick with the m20 engine as anything else will de-value it. A cat cam is cheap and could be nice. If want to do an engine conversion sell the sport and buy a normal one because other wise you'd be wasting money.
