Moderator: martauto
Looks awesome mate, cetainly got yourself a bargain, was following the other thread with interest about this!
I think you ought to advertise this and sell it for a nice profit and they buy a run of the mill 318iS to track as this is far to nice for that.

If you put a Z3 rack on this one and sold her over her, you'd get a buyer pretty sharpish since we're all having to use crapy 4 turn E30 racks[quote]
I would be putting one on regardless as the standard racks are cack.,as for selling up its a tricky one,it comes down to how much it would sell for,if I kept it and stripped it the leather/tech 2 kit/tweeter pods etc etc would fetch a fair amount of money judging by how much other kits get advertised on here for.If the car sold for say £2k then it would be worth it as I could get a roungh one for say 800 notes and spend a grand on it,however if it sold for less than that it would make sense to strip it and do things that way although,I am loathed to do that really as its all so original.
As with all things car related it depends on interest,in theory its worth plenty even though its done some miles, especially when you see how much 325 sports go for full of rot, daft really as the cars are identical only this one has a modern engine rather than a boat anchor.

Just did that but it doesn't seem to have changed? I hate technology.Simon wrote:Nice car, also think it would be a shame to track it.
Another thing, could you reduce the size of the sig pic please, it's a little on the large size!

When you uplaod it to the image server you have to change the name dude otherwise it will host the original image. HTHschuey wrote:Just did that but it doesn't seem to have changed? I hate technology.Simon wrote:Nice car, also think it would be a shame to track it.

P.s. Sweet car schuey, z3 rack it as we know but don't slag her! She looks like a beaut!
I think apart from, uprated pads/fluid etc and a z3 rack its staying as it is,the more I look at it the more of a shame it would be to strip it!
I want to get it really nice then sell and hopefully get enough cash to be somewhere near a real rough but original E30 M3 for a restoration project

Will it has all the useful options that an enthusiast would like
My car has tweeters in the door two afaik. Didn't actually think they were rare...
Good to hear she'll be staying unadultured (spelling?) anyway
Be a very tasty car for buyers when it has the Z3 rack in.
Whoever says that it should be left original with the standard rack must drive one with it or at least a Z3

I went to the stealers today to get a wheel centre badge and got them to print the original spec sheet, turns out it even has heated washer jets! Shame they didnt spec a useful fuel gauge as I ran out in the roughest part of hull with 1/4 tank showing!! Not amused had to walk a mile in total and buy a petrol can

Funny.
Doesn't have close to most of them.
My 318iS also has heated sports leather, 6 speaker stereo, OBC, Cruise, OE Fire Extinguisher and an original BMW Fuel Can that fits inside the spare wheel. And the paint has all these metallic flaky shiny bits in it that make it look twice as good as cars without the metallic flaky shiny bits.
Only a man with no style would say a Touring has no style. Very nice car, okay spec - don't track it!

mine has got a heater and a window that opens. thats all i need. a/c's for poofs and womenhammoj28 wrote:fuzzy wrote:take it yours hasn't got air con either then fuzzy?if it had a decent engine then that wouldnt matter Poke

Now sitting a bit lower, had to replace a spring so its now 40mm down, looks miles better.
Just been in the workshop changing all fluids(even the diff!) and then fully undersealing the mint underneath, had a new bottom arm and front bushes on it this week too(I wounded the old arm trying to get the struts off!),track rod ends etc. Also fitted the evolve chip last night, which has made a major difference, not so much outright pace, but more driveablity,i.e low end power is miles better.
Also had my drivers seat repaired by a local trimmer as it needed some new piping on the bolster and new foam in there at the same time, surprising how much more comfy it is now.
Cadwell tomorrow for a cheeky track day! After that its coming off the road whilst I rebuild the rear end with my nice new Ireland engineering rear bushes, poly top mounts etc. While its off I am going to get all the suspension parts powder coated so they look nice and get some new drop links as they are a bit tired.
Its just going to be a uprated standard car,bit more power, quicker steering, better brakes-no stripped out stuff here! I'm not one for big wheels and sh1t,fair enough on range rovers but cars like this look so right as they are its a shame mess too much.I think thats due to me always being in the VW scene before I got e30's,less is more

do you live off swinemoor fella?, that street looks familiar, if you've seen a silvery gold greg 4dr hooning around town recently thats me!
your I.S is the opposive end of the spectrum to mine as the only options it has are 15in bbs and rear headrests, it doesnt even have a sunroof (and the aggro that goes with them)
i love the bbs rims with black centres and diamond cut and laquered outers
