as my financial position has increased lately my touring could well be safe from breaking so ill put my name down for this and ill put my neck on the line and expect a figure of about 320-330bhp by then
ive never used star performance but ive heard good things about them and £20 per car is a good price

would be good to compair different rolling road's figures too and make an average from the two.
i know that the equipment is only a few years old at star performance.

i wouldnt expect a big difference from a different r/r .
i used to use RJM for all my engine/tuning work who are just around the corner from star but they got rid of their r/r.
falkland performance have a r/r and are also just around the corner.
dastek are also close by in dalgety bay and they have a 4wd r/r although thats not needed for any of us.
iirc usually a simple power run with graphic printout usually costs between £40 and £50.
it can be a worrying thing seeing your car driven up to about 100mph on a couple of rollers with just a couple of straps holding it down especially when you read their big disclaimer notice on the garage wall saying they are not responsible for any damage to your car that might occur and that its all at the owners risk. as its indoors you soon see why the operators also wear large ear protectors

your car only does an average 56mph does it not ?? , well thats what the AA lorry is limited tofuzzy wrote: ive heard that star performance know their stuff especially with the bigger powered german cars.

i will prob go a few times once i start modding the 2.7.
i have heard a few different storys about dynos and the way in which they calculate bhp can differ significantly.
im looking for around 150bhp on the rolling road day.

if i was you though id take your 2.7 for a pre modding power figure so you know your starting figure so you can then see what any future mods have given you.
When are we talking of doing this as my M3 is in bits at the moment being prep'd for it bare metal respray

i dont believe in saying "E30's only"
any make of vehicle is welcome !
purpose of meet is to bring like minded car enthusiasts together and find out what your ACTUAL bhp is.
if the alfa can get to the rolling road without breaking down then i hope to see him there !

you had better not break your car ! when did you last have it chipped and re-mapped ??fuzzy wrote: i will ignore the first comment![]()

im going with the stock 2.7, thats the reason i started the thread because no one could give me ACTUAL figures for my engine.
I really hope gary_p can make it with his as he has had a few mods done too. ?
I have not booked a date yet but i will post a few dates after xmas and we can see what suits best.

ive not had my car chipped or re-mapped for a long time now. it really does need a session at the tuners to set everything to perfection as its running very rich and returning seriously bad mpg atm.its not been set up again since i changed the turbo, fuel pump and a few other bits and pieces and is overfueling when driving hard causing it to pop flames from the unburnt fuel in the exhaust system regularly. ive just used it to travel to and from work this week. broxburn to larbert 6 days and broxburn to bannockburn yesterday and today has seen me burn £125 worth of v-powerm-dtech wrote: you had better not break your car ! when did you last have it chipped and re-mapped ??

it will get properly set up either way if i manage to get the stage 3 or not before this r/r day.
does star have a 4wd r/r as my mate wants to bring his evo8

If non E30 owners are welcome I'd be keen to bring the scoob along, be good just to see what power its got/not got.
I'll bring my camera of course to capture the looks of joy/despair (delete as appropriate!).
It'll be worth a trip to here the excuses! (Dave, big brakes aren't worth an extra 20bhp!!!)

I might manage to force myself to attend this wee event
Just to see what the old barge has before embarking on some wee tweaking
scooby brakes are awesome and are certainly not a weak point !BadDave wrote:Got a 2wd MT75 here if you need it matefuzzy wrote:im out again as ive destroyed my gearbox
