As above.

I have an LPG kit that includes the inlet manifold from an M62. I have an M60.

Can I just swap the manifold and loom over? or will I run into some serious trouble?

It's a BCR or BRC I can't remember lpg kit, and does away with the standard ecu as far as I can tell...

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Not sure about the electrical side but wouldn't you lose power if you fitted an m62 inlet manifold?

I was under the impression it was a similar situation to the m50/m52 6 cylinder inlet manifold, the manifold bore is smaller on the later engines, if you could fit an m52 inlet manifold to an m50 engine you would definitely lose power. I think BMW made the later manifolds smaller for tax reasons. I can't be 100% sure its the same situation with the m60/m62 but i'm sure i read it somewhere.
The bhp figures support this, e.g e34 m60 4.0 540i 286 bhp, e39 m62 4.4 540i - still 286 bhp despite the bigger capacity.

interesting...

But the torque is up on the 4.4 than the 4.0. Think I might have some decent fun trying to transplant the lot to the M60.. I really don't want to do that!!!

Just checked ETK, they show the same part number, so I'm ok on that bit. It's just the loom that i need to worry about!
