hI guYS,

A general and curious question. how many miles you getting to a full tank on your 325i?

mine has 63 litre tank and costs around £50.00 per week and i wondered what everyone spends and how many miles you get out of a full tank!

my car is standard bar scorpion le mans exhaust and k&n induction kit!

hope to see what the differences are between us! winkeye

My old 318i used to get about 250 miles to a tank, and it had a 63 litre tank fittted!! If i ragged it i was seing just over 200 to a tank!

My 325i sport seems to do about 350 if i drive very gently.

How do you guys average such fast speeds on the motorway? On the M25 these days your lucky to get over 70 in lots of areas becuase there are soo many cops everywhere! Speed cameras are a joke also.

My 318i from full to reserve light on is anywhere from 320-360 miles depending on type of roads I'm driving on.

I get the same with a 318 Touring as I did with my 320i coupe, I guess smaller engine but it works harder.. £30 in 180 miles out ,average driving all B roads.. and sitting in effin traffic jams..

I get about the same as slinky (320-360 miles) in the cab. Much the same as the 316i touring I had before it.

Grimsby to Bourenemouth... 300 miles and the warning light just begins to flicker... and that was in an '87 325i Sport.

And I don't drive like a grandad!

Both the 316 and the 2.7 return around 360-440 miles per tankful.Thats a mix of 'er indoors 1 mile each way to work and my 41 mile country lane round trip to work. The lower figure can get lower if either car does constant short trips. The upper figure can be exceeded by both cars on long runs at legal speeds.

Is it even worthwhile sticking a tenners worth of petrol in a car nowadays?

I have a 50 mile round trip to work and back - add that to normal day to day driving, I'd be filling up every day

So roughly the same as dazleeds then.

I can't work out why people stick in a tenner, or a score or whatever....
Is it not easier/less hassle just to fill the tank and run with it until it needs filled again?

It ain't that bad. I'd say about 5 tanks, depending where you're going.

Damn blingsta at least you have a turbo
guess my foots to heavy

grantfk10 i usualy stick £20 in at a time unless im off on a long run then she gets filled, main reason being is my car tends to find itself parked in a few dodgy areas, so i prefer it not to be full, just incase thieving twats take a liking to it

its interesting to see the comparisons for the owners so assuming we drive relatively similarly, calm around schools and main roads and then like a bat out of hell when its clear and you have great vision ahead we seem to get not much more than 200-250!!!

appreciated the responses guys as i thought my car was overfuelling!!!!
