Anyone have a sound clips of these exhausts? Trying to decide which exhaust to go with, I want one that is not too loud, not too quiet.

but the scorpion will be too loud from what he says. U should buy the alpina system for sale here and get it shipped over.
It really does sound fantastic. Standard style noise but much more bass and a good touch louder.
I bet Ԛ£1000 u would love it if u bought it they really are that good!

Sorry to hijack the thread, but , Whats a good performance exhaust mate? Hopefully sticking an IS engine in mine soon with an lsd and some goodies, Going to try and get as much power from it as i can. Would it be best to go with a fullycustom? Not that bothered about noise, somthing a little louder than stock would be good, but much rather performance.

difficult one really, the standard system is sh!t hot and they have a 4 branch as standard too, so there's not alot to improve on in that department. Put your car on a diet and uprate the brakes.
Get it running sweet, proper bmw spark plugs for Ԛ£7 each etc
The 16v puts out very good power torque even compared to todays engines. A Mk4 Golf GTI 2.0 16v is 130 BHP need i say more?!
Or u could of bought my old one!!

lol, could of done mate, wanted to keep my motor though!
Yeh true, the is engines are pretty good lumps considering their age etc.
Ive bought some sport callipers, going to do the rear discs when i can be arsed (just making the fronts sh!t hot atm), buying good pads n discs soon.
Do the spark plugs make that much difference mate? Im deffinatly going to get little bits, propper good plugs, oil etc to service it when i put it in. That plus an LSD..... Hoping it should pull quite well. Heard the 3.91 gives you an extra few hundred RPM in each gear...

3.91 is alot heavier too. Good plugs make a good difference yes but any good ones like NGK's (had these in my old one) i expect will be fine.
