hi guys, well the conversion went well, just a bit of an issue with the gear linkage. only questions left now are as follows...

how much grief is the 1.8 standard diff going to take? i know this is not an exact science, but is it a known thing for them to lock up with the increase in power? or will it run ok for a bit untill i can source an lsd for the right pennies?

and finally does anyone know the power difference from the 1.8 to the 2.5? it feels a shed load driving around, just like to know the standard book figures like. i think the 2.5 is around 170bhp? correct me if im wrong.

anyways, another addition to the sleeper club, even got the 318 badge and tow bar still fitted! makes people jump though when i give it a boot full past them! heheheheeee

good work man!

gear linkage you will need to use the m20 gear linkage so use the 325 stuff or 320.

as for the dif ask another one of the touring boys who had a slight problem at the pod recently :?

im using the 1.8 on my m30 right now and its a bit short. has not died on me yet but i have only done around 500 miles and most of that was on the motorway.

yours should spin up nice if its a real short dif

ha, it is a little short, first gear is almost pointless! but it does make easy work up to 90 odd then runs out of legs lmfao, i would keep it that way if it wasnt for the fuel consupmtion, im not really all that interested past a ton, license means too much to me!

anyways, cheers, and take it easy
