Have just received Eibach anti roll bars for my 3.25 Touring. Sadly no instructions, Eibach have instructions but only in German and its a PDF so difficult to translate. Anybody know where I can get hold of fitting instructions in English?

I'm no expert, but don't I need to drill new mounting holes?

I haven't installed this kit, but thats very unlikely. Should be a straight swap.

I dont know if thay supply you with new front brackets, but you may find yours have rusted away. ECP sell new ones cheaply.

If the Eibach kit is similar to the H&R kit there's no mods needed, unbolt the old ones and fit the new ones.

The rear bar can be fitted without removing or lowering the diff, just needs some careful positioning as it's slid in.

The mounting brackets for the front bar are a very poor design imo, they'd have been a million times better with a bolt on either side rather than hooked in on one side.

Cheers,

How do you adjust the stiffness?

Interesting. Has the subframe been modified, or is that some sort of adapter plate?

I welded a plate to the subframe to bring the level up to the same height as the subframe bolt boss.

The clamp and bush is from Ireland Engineering in the US.

Nice! The metal tab where the clamp normally bolts to can snap off. Happened to me.

That's why I did it. It's even more of a problem with beefy ARBs. Another bonus is that it's a lot easier to fit the clamps :D

One of the ARB mounts on one of my cars, literally crumbled in my hands it was so rusty. The rest of the suspension wasn't very rusty at all. Your lucky the tab didn't snap off.

Very nice modification, excuse my ignorance but can you explain how to adjust the arbs, do you slide the anti roll bar through the bracket to adjust?

It's nothing to do with the way the bar passes through the bushes/bracket. It's adjusted by fitting the drop link in a different hole in the ends of the bar.

You can just see the adjustment holes in this picture.

Thanks, that what I originally thought, so on the lowest hole it is less stiff?

The holes closest to the tip of the ARB are the softest settings. As you move inwards towards the pivot point/bush, it gets stiffer.

Hell yeah :

This is the "medium" setup. The hole in the front is the most loose setup, the hole in the back the most stiff.

and people say german engineering is good.....the front ARB mounts are attrocious design.

After my saddle clamp came loose at the unbolted end and started to bend the tab i got an IE kit just in time like Ian332isport, it now utilises the main mounting point for the front subframe so there are two bolts per side.

It was a kit then? Can't see it on their website.

It's not normally a separate kit. They supply the parts with some of their larger ARB kits. If you ask them nicely, they will supply the mounting parts though. You will need to specify the size of your ARB, so they can supply the correct sized bush. You cannot use standard bushes with these clamps.
