I am building a budget road rally car, the car itself has started life as a 316 lux so as basic as they get!!

I am looking at the brakes and wondering if i should upgrade i.e disks pads, braded hoses better fluid.....

Or shall i just upgrade them now??

Also, there are drums on the back so i am gonna need to put disks on the back, how hard is this??

Rear disc conversions a pretty simple job, main bits that can take time are handbrake cables getting stuck in the channel, and the hex bolts on the sills getting stuck.

Days work to swap max

A few people have told me to leave the drums on for now, would you say it was that important or shall i concentrate my money on other parts of the car?

Leave the drums on for rallying; you get a much stronger handbrake, which will be useful
