Better shots to come tomorrow, bit dark for photos at the moment.

Now the proud owner of a 1989 318 Touring, 144k miles sweet as a nut. zero (and I mean zero) rust.

So that's me up to 1.5 e30s

Unfortuately the reg is actually LXI 3181, but it's close enough :P

Oh, and the exhaust is a bit loud. Heard him coming about a mile away. ;)

Hey, that wee Corsa in the background looks familiar. :p

Nothing to do with me!! Going to debadge it over the weekend.. and sort out the sunscreen.. seeing as it's 15" deep...

Looks a little chav at the moment if I were being honest, very heavy black tints on all the windows, and the sunstrip, and the loud exhaust.. but hey, you gotta start somewhere :)

Any sunstrip's chav....unless it's a very small one that says ww.E30Zone.co.uk on it

Re the badge use it for 2 months and then demand your money back after "realising" it's not a 318is touring

Considering what I traded against it I think I will just steer clear of the dealer as he might shoot me if he sees me again :)

I am going to cut the strip back to about 3" or so, was bloody hard driving home tonight as its level with the top of the steeing wheel at the moment, I will take photos of it before I cut it as it really is quite comical :)

Be good to see some more daytime pics tomorrow.

I have put a black sunstrip on my Civic, but only cos I'm completely ripping out the interior hence no sun visors and need sun protection....is that chav? :(

If you're using it for what it's actually meant to be used for then don't worry about it! :)

EDIT: Why you ripping out the interior? Breaking it? Thought you were selling that thing?

Nope, sold with it, and the dent in the rear offside quarter, I did get a poorish price for it though.. Ԛ£1400 against the BMW, which was Ԛ£1700. So Ԛ£300 and get rid of the French thing, get a decent car, get a bigger car.. oh and.. I get to drive home in a BMW

...and my insurance was Ԛ£60 LESS than the 206.. go figure..

Was a mechanic that owned the car, his wife used to drive it, apparently the sunstrip was longer

More pics tomorrow:)

Swapping a French car and 300 quid for a piece of quality German engineering? Don't know why you didn't do it sooner!

I never said WELL DONE for getting rid of it! :woohoo:

Looking forward to the pics, especially of the sunstrip!

Finding a non-rotten 16 year old car is difficult over here considering how much salt they chuck on the roads in the winter, and most people live near the coast too. Rusty in abundance.
Only kidding, respect to you for having to drive the thing.....what speed were you doing to get banned?
Nah, it was playing bumper cars too many times on public roads, so insurance is totally buggered at the moment. Group 3 is my friend at the moment - could have got a group 1 car but even I wouldn't drive a 1 litre 3 pot Corsa...
