I've been given a simple battery cut off switch like this:

How do you fit one of these to an E30 with the battery in the boot?

Thanks,

Could you not fit it to the remote positive terminal under the bonnet?

Ideally, I want to have the switch mounted in the car in place of the clock, if this is possible?

it's possible but you'll need to re-route the battery cable to the switch and make up a new length to run to the front which will never be fun! could you not mount it on the floor, somewhere on the existing cable run?

i fitted one on our mini, under the rear seat / heelboard area which also doubled as a nice hidden immobiliser.

I had mne where the clock was before upgrading to an electric isolator

No pic, but if its not the FIA ones then dont use it when the engines running or you will fry the alternator

The FIA ones wire through the live, the ignition and the alternator

The others can just run through the earth
