e30 suspension?

hry guys as im new to this blog as well as new to e30 modifying i wantd to get your views on what type/kind of suspension springs i should purchase for my 325i convertible? Also i wantd to know what drop is best suited for my car as i intend to lower my motor too? ur comments will be appreciated.Thanx.x

Cheap but good lowering springs can be bought from GSF - Ã‚£49 +VAT for a 35mm drop. Your current shocks will be OK with these, too.
If you want to go lower still there are -60mm or even -80mm front springs available for cabrios; you'll need shortened shocks with these and personally I wouldn't bother as you'll ruin your ride and learn to fear speedbumps

Cabrios already have BMW's stiffest anti-roll bar setup (14.5mm rear, 21mm front) as standard, this is hard to beat for road use. Stiffer bars are available for track/race use, but I don't know of anyone who tracks an e30 cab

nyc one mate jus 1 quick question 4 u tho, whats the deal with heated springs? Iv heard people mention them and wanna know if ther any good?

DON'T DO IT!

Heating springs destroys their temper, softening the metal and making them sag. This will lower the car, but it will also ruin the handling as the springs will end up much softer. In extremis, they may be weakened so much that they break.

forget about fearing them you won't even think about them, start worrying about drains in the road
