fitting rear head rests in touring

All the bits required are the same as those from the FRONT seats of any E30.
Remove the rectangular trim pieces around the bit that pops up at the top of the seats backs, tip the rear seat bases forwards, then grip the fabric part of the bases at each side, near the bottom, and pull hard.
The fabric will unclip from the metal back plate, and you will very likely rip the flesh from the tips of your fingers. The clips are VERY sharp.
You will now be able to see where the bits go and where to cut the fabric at the top.
