and if you were on a tight budget and had shagged oem shocks on the front and H&R stiffer on the rear would these be ok, or are there any other better available? think cheap, yes H&R/koni/Bilstein would be awesome. i just put koni yellows on my other car(civic) and they're awesome but i cant afford that on the BMW, its meant to be a cheap track/drift car while i finish my civic engine conversion and steering rack replacments etc to keep me on the road. but i want something stiffer to make it handle better and reduce front end roll a lot.KW 40/40 springs already on.

Yes, 45mm is definite! 320i's without ABS and had rear drums would be 45mm.

Maybe you can source some second hand shocks?

They should be OK for a while at least, especially if the car isn't used much.
Alternatively, www.motorsportworld.co.uk have Spax shocks for £45

thanks for that handpaper just realised the spax's are available for less as well. on motorsport world for 40.28 or something silly. and also found them cheapear again on needforspeed.co.uk only 30.00 quid.

any of you happen to know why there are two spax models listed for the 320i/324d with a 45mm strut? the 2013 and the 2007 i think?
