Standard speaker sizes??

The standard fit speakers in my touring are shot and need replacing, im not after anything fancy, just some half decent replacements, does anyone know the standard speaker sizes for the front kickpanels and the rear side shelf speakers, cheers Dean

front are 5.1/4 inch and rears are 4 " if i remenber correctly

Ok cheers, 4" at the back?? that is tiny, i might have to look into getting something bigger in the back, i dont want anything on show though, i think stealth is the word im looking for!

take the speaker boxes out and make some mdf rings for a 5 1/4 speaker to sit just beneath the rear grilles. stealth as fcuk

i've not done it myself but it looks like 6.5" will fit, i imagine 6x9s will fit but it would be easier with 6.5s

Ok, i might stick to the 5 1/4s for now, its easy to get carried away with these things and iv found a shop on e-bay thats doing a deal on them so i think im gonna replace all 4 with 5 1/4s for now, cheers for the info

In that link showing the Touring speaker pod, is it easy to fit?
Do you have to cut anything> How do you attach the MDF ring?
