Poor starting

I have a 325i convertable reg April 87 which does not like starting from cold :eek:
My haynes manual points to about 5 possible causes can anyone give me a starting point :?



The engine turns over with no hesitation,once started its fine. If stoped almost straight away It will start with a flick of the key. However if left for an hour or more it needs cranking to start

Is it slow to turn over or doesn't it want to fire ?
