M3 track day car conversion

i take it the inside has been painted in the above pics the floor loks so shinny am i right matey is this comon practace as i am stripping mine at present and the floor looks grubby and dull not like yours

paid £500 to get the inside and the cage painted. Prep work was done by ETA and myself. Don't know how much thinner, Aceton and brake cleaner we used to rub it down, but I was sky high that after that

friend of mine has done a cage himself. After spraying it (and inside of the car) he said that he understands now why it was £500.....
not an easy job!

I read your other posting about the OMP cage. I think you are right to go with the SD cage.

cheers mate that is reasuring that someone who has uite clearlly got some knowlage abou these things like yourswlf agrees with me imo saving is better if i can now get a beeter cage and swap it to an m3 WHEN i get one being 18 i dont thinl that will be anytime soon.

what bucket seats did tyour m3 have in it before do you have anythingyou wanna sell that will aid me in my track car build 318is by the way

I have sold most of the M3 bits already. all I have left is the standard roll bars. But I am very bad with selling M3 bits. I am a hoarder, you never know when you need them
Just remembered, I have a 325 touring front roll bar as well.

Wow what a project, How long did it take from start to finish?

about 3 month. Matt was really working overtime. Sometimes till 10 pm on Fridays!

3 Months - I dream of this short ammont of time! Mine is still an on going project... Due to:

1. Spare time - I don't have any (3 children, a wife, a dog, 2 rodents)
2. As soon as I get any spare cash it's taken by my wife (for handbags), my children (for anything the shop owner will sell them)

A very good friend got me that from the US. I think it's from a drag racing shop. Handy piece of kit!

that hook from demons is horrid, my guy in the states does these for steering wheel or helmets for about £25 uk they come in Black anodized ally for 1.5 and 1.75 tube cage 2 allen keys to attach

strapped in a bucket seat with a 6 point harness you can hardly reach the buttons on the dashboard. The hook is miles away from the passengers.

Your rollcages must be made of solid titanium if they won't move at all in a heavy rollover.

i thought you need to use e34 540 calipers for this brake conversion. ?
Im going to do this on mine as i felt the standard brakes were ok around croft,they could have been better.

E32 735i, E32 750i, E34 540i all the same.
just watch out for the E32 730i which is 302 as well, but a thinner disk.

The e32 735i one is the same as the 730i
The 750i/540i ones are wider.
