Now just been having a go at taking my diff off my coupe and before i did too much i just thought i may confirm with you that an s 3.64 is a lsd and it would fit onto my 325i touring without problems?? thanks

s3.64 is an LSD mate yeah, as for fitting, it depend on what size diff is already on? If they are the same size casing (6 bolts on top / 4 bolts on top... should be 6 on a 2.5) then its a straight swap mate

Small case has 6 bolts holding the backplate on, large case has an 8 bolt backplate (some people on here call this a medium case, but E30 only ever had two sizes of diff).
oh my bad, I could have sworn my 2.5 I had had 6 bolts holding the main diff casing onto the subframe,
the 320 I have now as a well smaller diff an that has 4 on top

i thought it was only the rubber mount which held the diff up.
