Hi, the coolant light on my check panel won't go off. It's on from cold and has only done it this afternoon since I washed the car. I did disrupt the expansion tank a bit when cleaning around under the bonnet a bit. All connections seem fine and there is coolant in it!

Suggestions????

Is it likely to just be a faulty sender unit in the expansion tank? Bloody well hope so!!

Yep! :D Try sticking a bit of wire between the 2 terminals & see if that "fixes" it. If it does, & there's definately enough coolant in it, then it's the level sensor...

Mine done it a few weeks ago only way to clear those lights seems to be to disconnect and reconnect the battery :? But I'm sure some bright spark on here will put me right :)
