thought id give this bufty stuff a go for a change and bought some meguiars clay bar. after following the instuctions im somewhat underwelmed by the difference of the finish.
how long on average (not daves average :D ) should it take to clay bar an e30? maybe i didnt spend long enough doing it?

the difference will be in the slickness of the painted surface

contaminants will if done correctly be removed

first time and all that to a car that hasnt had it done before

could take 2 hours to do it properly if heavily soiled

Hi Jon.

I did a client's Mercedes a couple of weeks ago (black) and it was a nightmare to clay bar. I was shattered by the end of the day. White bar now a brown bar. LOL

Hi

Used Maguires clay kit on mine and it was brilliant. To do it properly (clay and wax and detail) it took a good 6 hours(!) But boy was it worth it. It gleams and a quick wash now brings it up spangling.
