ok, the attempted donuts and excessive clutch kicking round corners (thanks karan) have finally taken their toll :)

I'm far too skint to put anything decent in there atm so I'll just have to put another cheapy in and replace it when I've got the cash.

Any recs? or just a standard gsf jobbie?

if your clutch kicking properely it doesnt really do that much damage to the clutch, its if your not very fast with it, thats when the damage gets done.

www.rallydesign.co.uk do two difference ones. The Maxtorq is a refrub one and you get Ԛ£20 cash back when you send your old one in.

The Valeo one is new. I recently bought the Valeo one. Not install it yet as I've still got some work to do on the engine.

Heel & toe should be better for your clutch, and if it's combined with a double clutch it will be better for the gearbox too (well the synchros at least).

A bit OT, but any good internet links to help perfect my heel & toe + double clutching? Installed an LSD yesterday

I believe the expression is double de-clutch; the process is the clutch is put 'in' and the powertrain disengaged then the clutch is let out, then the engine revs are increased (or matched to what revs the engine will be spinning when the next gear is selected), then the clutch is put in again and the powertrain re-engaged and the clutch let 'out'

This was standard practice before syncromesh was invented to enable you actually to be able to select a gear

Proper (as opposed to boy) racers use it so that when the engine is loaded with the gearbox, you don't get an initial slight deceleration effect - it's enough for someone to get past you.

I think I explained all that the right way round
