I have an E30 Touring, dropped 80/60 on 215/40 16" tires, I think the spacers are 10mm.

I think it is too wide, if I remove the spacers, will the tires rub?

Has anyone experience with 80/60 drop and this size of wheels - or anything similar?

's impossible to say without tellin us what the offset on the wheels is...

I don't know anyone who's gone for that much of a drop anyway, so I still don't know how much luck you'll have!

Ofcourse... forgot about that... I have to check the offset, it is somewhere between 15-35 (that is the offset the wheels are sold in)...

Just have to find the bolt key first

;) how about going outside in the nice danish weather and testing it yourself..
itԚ´s not that much of a problem, sitting inside will get you nowhere
With great challenges comes great engineering.

Thanks for your concern Gunni... but sitting inside is exactly what gets me everywhere at the moment (I am studying for exams  )

The offset is ET 15 - now, has anyone experience with this kind of lowering and this tire/wheel combination. I would really like to loose the Spacers as I think they are a bit over the top... but I am worried that the tires will rub...

Ihave a set of 8x16 shaper champ alloys with 215-40x16 on the front and 225-40x16 on the back on my touring

origonally it was on a 60-60 drop but the tyres were rubbing like crazy on the back, the front was fine tho.

its now sitting on 60-40,but i trimmed the arches anyway.i can load er up and shes fine

even side ways round a corner,no rubbing :D

Were the wheels with ET 15?

It doesn't rub now no matter how hard I try... I haven't checked if the arches are rolled (fender rolled)....

BUT... I checked out which size the 17" rims was it was on before I bought. They were 245/35 17 and according to the registration papers without spacers so probably a different offset (Borbet LM wheels).. anyhow - that is pretty wide so maybe this is doable...
