Hi,

Brought a 92 318i convertible this week and it wasn't till I turned the headlights on for the first time that I realised the bulbs to light up the headlight switch were hanging in the footwell.

Can somebody help me and tell me how to refit them, I can't see how to remove the switch unit to get access to the back connections...??
Don't want to damage the dash trying.

Thanks people...

Headlight switch is held in place by a small nut, lower the cover above the knees, and look up behind the dash and all will be revealed.

Are you sure the lights you've found aren't the 2 lights that light up the headlight levelling switch?

Hi Simon,

I think you maybe right, just had a look and also found the headlight levelling switch tucked up under the dash. The casing it all fits in is missing... looks like I will have to look through the ads on here to find one.

Thanks for your very quick advice.

No problems, I have a few spare, but I'm away for a week as of tomorrow, PM me in a week to remind me, and I can pop them in the post for you if you like.

That would be fantastic and is very kind, I'll send you a PM next weekend.

Should have got into e30's alot sooner if I had known it was such a very friendly community.

Thanks once again
Neil
