Hi Guys/Galls

I've got a couple of corbeau forza bucket seats (cheap cheap 2nd hand but in good condition)

Has anyone fitted buckets to the original subframes rather than buying subframes for buckets? Is it possible??

PS Rear bench and front seats are in great nick if anyone is interested - Black material, no rips in rear bench front seats no rips on the seats with vinyl (could poss be leather) sides out of 320i 1990 2 door very small 1 inch tear in vinyl on the passengers side right at the bottom (can hardly see it) no other tears VGC.

Basically if I can't fit without buying new subframes then selling the interior to fund the new subframes or if I can sell the interior without needing subframes then I'll sell at a reduced price :)

I've some cheap Monaco's in mine but i splashed out on subframes.
It would be possible to fabricate something to adapt them to your existing ones and you may end up sitting higher up than with the proper subframes.
If you are not handy with a welder or metal fabrication, i would leave it alone and save up or get somebody else to do it for you.

Not really my cup of tea in an E30, unless you're going racing :drive:

I don't know about those seats but I have a Sparco Pro 2000 in my 323i.

I couldn't use the standard subframe part because the bolt pattern was different. You could probably make up some sort of adapter but I needed the seat as low as possible (With a helmet on my head is about 1cm from the roof already because I have a sunroof). We made up some metal plates that fitted the seat brackets and then the floor holes. Means the seat is fixed in position though. I will see if I can get a proper base for it when I get some money.

Oh I had standard Recaro sports seats, I don't know if they use the same subframe part as the other seats?

EDIT: Also I think there is a legal issue if you have a 2 door. In Australia we have to have both front seats fold up to let people in and out of the back, unless you register it as a 2 seater. I don't think the standard frame does this (I think it is done by the seat itself?), you need something like the frame in the M3 CSL.

Hi there,
I bought some corbeau carreras not so long ago......Me and my dad made an attachment which allowed the corbeaus to fit onto the existing subframes....

Consisted of some box section going across the front and the back of the orignal subframe and then using angle iron to make sum adaptors to fix to the box section and the underside of the seats.....was quite a job and took quite a while though but it saves alot of money...

Didnt end up putting the carreras in mine so was a bt of a waste of time in the end...

thanx guys. think I'll buy the subframes then and sell the interior :)

rear cards are out as well (1 with a little tear but it would be seen once fitted. Debating to keep the front cards - has anyone made door cards up from dexion/ally or can these be purchased in CF?
