You will need to change the prop yes..

I think the manifolds are different for the cab, check the group buy, where they are having to do different ones for cab/coupe.

1.8 suspension may not be strong enough at the front....might sit a bit low, but that's not essential :?

Probably a couple more points.....

Will be good once it's done!

I want to do this conversion to, probably next year tho when i have some No claims discount.

Is it easiest to just buy a doner?

I'll try nearer the time getting one thats rusted everywhere and has ripeed intiror.

Then i'll be sorted.

Hope all goes well with it Nav

im sure the front suspension will need to be changed as i think it will be far to low and unsafe at the front.

Not to mention the brakes.
That's why it's far easier with a doner.

They are listed as different on the GSF site, so I would guess, as you say the rad is bigger on the 2.5

I'm currently doing this conversion on Fastcarz 318i cab. We have changed:

1. Engine loom/ECU/AFM
2. Auto 2.5 engine converted to manual with spigot bearing and manual flywheel.
3. 325i gearbox
4. 325i prop
5. 325i 3.73 diff
6. 325i 3 piece exhaust
7. Complete 325i steering rack/pump/hoses
8. 325i rad & expansion tank etc

The exhaust is new for a 325i coupe and all fits perfectly, don't know where all this talk of different manifolds and downpipes comes from :?

We have a donor car and is much easier than faffing about buying individual bits.

Cheers,

Iain T

I changed the rack because the power steering pipes aren't long enough to mount the pump in the right place, so to avoid messing about I swapped the whole system over.

It's only held in with 2 bolts/2 balljoints and the steering coupling !

Cheers,
