Build your own e46 M3?

Does anyone here watch Pulling Power?

I caught the tail end of a feature last night, where some guy had built himself an e46 out of parts he'd bought from various breakers... The strange thing was that he seemed to get all the parts extremely cheap (i.e. 1p) and the total build cost was something like 46p!!!8O

I was just wondering whether anyone had seen this episode, and what the catch was...

if it had that nob mike brewer presenting it i think it was something to do with kerrang radio.i heard the last part of the feature on the radio and they were on about building a car for a quid.

Yeah it's the Kerrang dj Tim Shaw. His missus sold his Lotus for 50p on ebay so he built an e46 with the same budget. It's in PBMW this month. Complete gobsh#t*.

he didnt really. all the parts were 'donated' by sponsors.
building a car and get someone else to pay for it doesnt really means it was built on a 50p budget.

car does look good though, its all just publicity for the company that built it.

and im sure the story of his wife selling his lotus for 50p must be made up as well as she wouldnt be the registered owner to allow her to sell it.

The latest Performance BMW has a feature and it says he bought a salvage 330 cabrio with running gear for 2p??? Now I hate autos but if anyone spots a deal like that let me know and I'll buy you one for your trouble as well
