My wife's daily driver is a M20 engined 325i Touring, with a engine in good condition and absolutely standard except that it runs on LPG. The fueling is controlled by a dedicated LPG ECU, which doesn't feature the standard rev limiter.
It gets driven fairly enthusiasticaly, and I've noticed the rev counter climbing past the normal rev limit on several occasions for a short while, especially when accelerating hard in first and second gears, or overtaking in third.
Anyone know how many revs a M20B25 will take for short periods without causing damage?
