Was just wondering if any one has replaced the rubber ring in the steering colum with nylon or uethane(sp?) ?
This will give you more vibration through the steering wheel(i don't know how much though ?) but my thinking was that you might get some extra feed back from the steering wheel when you are driving quickly which would be handy ?
What material would be best to use ?
Some thing stiffer than rubber but not to hard and some thing thats not going to degrade due to tempreture because it's fairly close to the exhaust manifold .

And don't try to save a few pennies by not getting the bolts from BMW. They are special shouldered bolts and must be used.
