Hi all..
I've always intrigued by the UK e30's I've seen over the last 8-9 years on the net.. I love the clean euro goodness..the cars are amazing.
That being said...I came to join the "Zone" 8)

I myself am very picky when it comes to my car. I have owned the car since 1996 when I was not of age to drive yet..my dad and I started fixing up the car a tad.and before I knew it the 2 months of waiting was over. I was 16 and my e30 was my first car. The car lasted me thru high-school, college, work for 2 years and now into grad school... I have just turned 27 last month.. 11 years of ownership for my cirrus blue 325i.
In 1999 I became a dedicated bmw cca member and a dedicated car care enthusiast.
In 2003 the car was restored and went on to bmw cca concours best of show-classic models in 2004 & 2005.
The car took 2nd place 2x in 2006..and my job & school had prevented me from going over the top as per my detailing regimen (zymol destiny/hd cleanse, porter cable, sealent glaze, etc, etc.)
This year of 2007 the car has been sitting all year as I've been living in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.. Just moved back home in early september after 10 months in Florida..I currently reside in Kingston, Pa. USA. The E30 is being cared for again. :)

In 2005 My brother sold his 1987 535iS and picked up a 1988 E30 m3 rolling chasis...in above avg condition with a blown engine and wasted clutch. A new 1990 S14 tweaked in New York and shipped to us in PA was was ready for install. the car went in for a complete strip down restoration. Now in 2007 the car is in outstanding condition, and It's got one great owner who knows everything e30 m3.

Anyways ....Instead of posting pictures of my car I'll include a link to my car pics...
Warning: it has the US bumpers and I like them on my car. OEM to 88' models in the US and I have new ones on there. To each their own on that subject and the "wheels" subject. Unfortunately I love my car as-is.. suiting to my personalization. I did it the way I wanted. Wheels are from 1999, obviously I want new weaves or something..but that has to wait.
Enjoy the pics...the diamond black e30 m3 is my bro's.

Thanks for the complements..the m3 is my younger brothers.

stevotheevo: I don't know what you are talking about. It never was hit in the rear. I don't understand what your are talking about? where on the rear is it looking bad? The quarter panel trims are used not new like the center rear and rear bumper trims. possily sagging a tad? The bmw cca concours judges don't dock me for anything there. I guess I'm a lil confused..I probably need to get some new trim there on those 2 sides since it is 20 years old now. they are not faded in color..but could be warped? :?

In 2002 it was hit in the front...the car went under the knife for 11 months ( deided to do a full restoration) an in sept 2003 I got all new oem part..plastic trims, bumpers, new metal front valence, etc. the mhw tails, gruppe a mirrors, euro hella ellipsoids, scorpion exhaust, and engine bay got makeovers during this time...previously the car was more stock looking with all amber signals, etc. only mods it had prior to 2001 were the wheels (99') and the Sachs sporting set suspension kit (00')

my question was based on picture 32, the gap seems to widen near the top of the door, may just be camera angle.
sweet ride though fella 8)

Thanks.

I forgot to mention that during the restoration in 2003..I had a 1992 M20 installed. Has 68,000 original miles on it.
The engine is totally stock for the moment though..168hp.
I have more important things to worry about right now...such as replacing the rocker panels
I have ACS side skirts and a kamei rear apron which should look subtle with a simple "IS" lip in the front.
That will be done with my next restoration.. a "complete" job sometime in 2008. winkeye I simply cannot wait!

I have photos I took last week that I have to upload...I'll add them to this thread soon enough. :)

That's a nice tidy looking 325. I think it would look better with 15" BBS though.

I know..got to set a set. I do have 15" Racing Dynamics RGP though.
I also have OZ basketweaves in 14x7. (have to repaint them with silver centersbecause I don't like graphite centers)

Still I need to get some BBS 15"s. I'm thinking about some 07' BBS RGF in 15". Just a thought right now though.

The Racing Dynamics rims look the best imo, sweet motor you got there fella - keep it up.

Just noticed this post..Hehe..
My brother got his e30 m3 in 2005...at that point I had owned my 325i for almost 9 years.
I'm happy that my bro is behind the wheel of a E30 though...he had a US Spec 88 M5..before he decided to buy the E30 M3 and send it off for a complete restoration...I was glad to be a part of helping him establish contacts and info on the restoration. We compiled a nice photo collection of ALL the work done 8)
It sure didn't go that smoothly for me...I was only 15 when I got my ca in 1996 and basically didn't even know what a E30 or a 325i was. I didn't even know there was a Eta car, etc...
