Hi there,

The zinnobar red paintwork of my 320 is mostly good except for a small area on one of the doors, just between the bottom of the window and the door handle, which has turned a shade of milky red/pink.

I tried to cut back the oxidised paint by hand, using Farecla G6 (as recommended in a Total BMW article on paint restoration), but there seems to be a hard outer layer of old polish or something that prevents the compound from getting close to the paint! :-x

What should I do?

Thanks in advance as always. :D

Probably been painted at some time to fix a scratch or something along those lines.

I've had excellent results with Auto Glym paint restorer, same shape bottle as all the other stuff and around a fiver.

Worked a treat on my zinnobar pink motor.
