Hi,

Can anyone tell me where abouts the temperature gauge should sit once the engine has properly warmed warmed up?

Mine seems to sit anywhere between halfway and three quarters. The heater works fine and there is no 'pinking' or loss of performance when the needle gets to three quarters.
Is this normal or is the engine running too hot?

Cheers

My 318i sit at a 1/4. When stuck in traffic and will creep up to half then back down again. On hot days with the a/c on will be at 1/2 way.

My current 320i sits just under half way. But my previous 316i and my current E36 have always sat dead in the middle.
