First of all, is this worth doing?
If so does anyone know of any company which sells conversion kits, obviously i could use pretty much any fan but im thinking of the switch components.
Has anyone attempted such a conversion?
Cheers

The electric fan from a E34 5 series and 7 series with aircon fits in front of the E30 radiator perfectly.
There is a untapped boss on the side of an E30 radiator, but if you have had a replacement radiator, then you will probably find a blanking plug where the 5/7 series thermo switch will fit.
The E30 fusebox has two unused positions for relays (high speed and low speed), and a place for a fuse. You just have to make up a small loom.
Most of us who have fitted M50 engines to our cars have fitted electric fans, as there is no room for the standard viscous fans.
