e30 gearbox swap

Hi all

just about to swap my auto box in 323i coupe (83) e30 for manual getrag box etc. Would you advise engine out to fit peddle box etc or can it be done engine in situ?

The peddle box is changed from inside the car, so the engine can say in.

I would pull the engine out with the box as its easier than fiddling around trying to remove the box alone especialy if your converting from auto to manual.
