Well partly anyway. Walked back to my car after shopping and the upper chrome part of the passenger side of my car has been taken :x Not entirely sure if it was done at Tesco's or before though.

Can they easily fall off? Would I have noticed if it was becoming loose?

How easy would it be for me to replace this part and put it back on?

Cheers.

Mine fell of when I was going full tilt down a slip road, thought it was tools moving in the boot till I stopped 200 miles later to discover dechrome trim missing all up the passenger side

They go back on easy, just give it a tug once it's on and if it comes straight off stick it on with some clear silicon or somthing similar.

it took me nearly a month to realise why the volvo behind me on the M3 swerved across two lanes shorty after i passed and heard a bit of a bang on my 325 coupe... and i had to get passengers to root around for tape to stop me loosing the dechrome on the touring coming out of london during rush hour..

why is it always the passenger side?!

At least you can find replacement bits easily! Try finding a convertible-specific bit of chrome trim... :x

Lost mine on the motorway, I remember thinking something came off, but wasn't till I got home I noticed the drivers side chrome had gone.
Was quite lucky as I had my old 318 sat on the drive waiting to be scraped so just borrowed the bits I'd lost.
I just wonder what happened to the cars behind me when it did come off at 80mph 8O
