Need tool for removing gearbox filler plug

Hi all,

Doe's anybody know where I can get a tool for removing the filler plug on the gearbox of my Fiancee's 518i ( M40 ) ? It looks like a massive 17" allan bolt type plug !!

17"!? :eek:,think you may be looking at the wrong one mate,its normally an allen key plug,not that normally that big though?

Yea I think that's 17mm, called a 'drain plug' from Halfords, bout Ԛ£2.50

Or if your really cheap, a couple of 17mm nuts locked onto a short 17mm bolt.

dad bought one ages ago, its a massiv allen key, think he got it from machine mart.

GSF do a kit for about Ԛ£8 that has lots of drain plug adaptors, will do the diff, gearbox etc.
