lol... one in the eye for all the e30 bummers that insist this car is safe in a crash.
Although I'd say the majority of the damage is because of the council wheels, if it were on bbs it would have just scratched the bumper.

i reckon that was at least a 60mph hit
i once got hit by passat in the pass side at 60/70 which shoved me into a concrete bollard lined hedge
and the damage was similar to that pic
creased every panel on the car incl rear qtrs and roof even tho nothing touched them
also snapped dash and deposited the heaters contents on my lap
was just a touch less damage than the pic above but not much at all

I got the pic off google - the explanation was the car was pulled by a cable STRAIGHT into the wall and did'nt allow for natural fall back after the impact...However I think the car had been to a demolition derby prior to the pic

from an engineering viwpoint, hitting a solid rigid mass is the worst thigg to happen. it's all down to the rate of decereration and the forces involved.
if you hit a softer object (like daz's stone wall
) that moves, the decelleration and G forces are lower and the forces imposed on the structure are lower.
still, looks considerably nasty!
die you chromie fecker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

now you see were all ok, no matter what we drive, cus we would be alot more observant to what in front of us than bummies and move or legs and arms to brake and swerve to avoid stationary objects which makes all this crash testing irrelevant...... i personally wouldnt floor it in an encosed warehouse...... would you? (tho it might be different for chinese peeps.
