what do you lot reckon?
Crianlarich is not the largest of Scottish villages, but it has a good wee pub (The Rod & Reel) where we could meet up ?
Either or, im not bothered!320Touring wrote:something like that- some quality time before you rough northerners show upBadDave wrote:Glasgow and Edinburgh attendees could all meet up at Stirling and then convoy to Perth320Touring wrote:I reckon Perth would be good

BTW I have a bit of a dilema, ive just bought a Pajero to run over the winter and the 335 runs out of tax in about 3 weeks. I dont know if its worth taxing it for another month.
I could always get it refunded i suppose.
Dave, saw you twice yesterday. I was in my missus Focus (she was driving) I said "oh, theres Dave, she turned to look and went through a red light!

Yeah, I'm in the same position, I was gonna put the Cabby away for the winter and just run the Astra, but I reckon I'll get another month before the weather gets too bad, then claim the refund.Ritchie wrote: I have a bit of a dilema, the 335 runs out of tax in about 3 weeks. '89 325i - was an SE but not anymore, was bronze-beige metallic (yeuch!) but now techno-violet (thankfully)
'89 Toyota Corolla GTi-16 - track, hillclimb & sprint car (yeeha!)

I was up at Fort William/Loch Ness/Inverness a couple of weeks ago (gotta love them roads
).
Glencoe will be a nice route, wish I was still at home
Geneva is pretty nice so far though and I've seen loads of old 325ix's. Checked the ads in the local paper though and they're still a bit too expensive for having one when it's really not neccesary...
Anyway, hope y'all have a good meet

Was that in Aberdeen or out n about?
Hope you got through the lights unscathed, and with nothing more than your nerves a little rattled.
Just a thought
Instead of taking the "fake"Shogun, you could maybe blag a white Scooby.
OR just bang on some road tax and forget about that japcrap altogether.
Hit the nail right on the head there Neil.320Touring wrote:As for your missus, she was probably stunned by Dave's beauty....

ritchie if you are not taxing the 335 you can cadge a lift in mine. just mind your ear plugs........for the noise and possibly to ignore my banter too
only two seats though so if the missus was planning on going then you would need to take the 4x4 after all.

Meet at Perth then head through the A93 to Glenshee? Brilliant roads and quite central for all?
Thanks for the offer Nick but i checked my tax again and it doesnt run out until the 31st so its coming!
It will be a fine last run for the year. Meeting at Perth sounds fine Gary.
We saw you in the town Dave, first beside the station in the morning and then at night leaving Tullos.
I also saw you on Friday on the Inverurie road when i was taking my `fake` Shogun home from Inverness.
Its funny how you can spot an E30 miles off!

Have just seen this post for the first time in ages and I'm defo 100% up for this. My only question is are the girls, i.e wife's etc invited ? Also I have a 1 y.o daughter who would be well up for gawking at a load of E30's
What I'm trying to say in all seriousness is that I would like to take my family along and wondered if that was cool ? Also is an overnight stay planned or somthing like that ?
Cheers
George

more to the point is your wife and daughter actually wanting to come to a gathering of old car anoraks to listen to endless men talk? if so then good on them and bring them along. i wouldnt even bother mentioning it to my wife as she has no interest. i might bring my 4 year old boy but my 16 month girl is probably best staying with mummygeorgen wrote:Have just seen this post for the first time in ages and I'm defo 100% up for this. There wasn't an overnight planned as such
Sure you could easily find somewhere cheap n cheerfull in or around Perth or Perthshire.
Would definately cut down on the journey time to the meet
