FUEL PROBLEM

I GOT A 316I WITH A 318I AIR FLOW METRE ON IT. MY CAR DRINKS PETROL IS THIS THE PROBLEM?

Could well be the problem mate, might also be the 2 short fuel hoses under the inlet manifold.
My missus 316i had this common problem, the rubber perishes with the heat off the engine and splits causing fuel to leak and crap mpg results !.

i reckon its the airflow meter - think they are different 1.6 - 1.8
