They can brake later! Also will handle just as well as that setup!

As a voice of moderation, can I just say I've owned a 318iS, I now have a 2.5L Alpina and would still consider a 318iS in the future.

What you essentially have is a 325i Sport without the rust-inducing bodykit (OK, and the LSD) but for thousands less. If the running costs of a Sport are beyond you, they're the next best thing.

Simple. As. That.

I dont see the point of all this talk of a well set up 325 with all this suspension lark to make it handle abit better than a standard 318iS :?

So with all the money somebody spends on a 325 to make it handle as good as the 4pot, The person that has the iS that the 325 owner is trying to keep up with through the twisties can go ahead and spend the same money on both the suspension and the M42 engine since the suspension doesn't need as much work and hence the 318iS is still better winkeye
Haha, ye still cant win :D

The only 6 pot I would get is a 325 touring since I'd have the weigth of the tail to balance the See-saw effect of the engine in the front winkeye
M42 rightness above 6500rpm, nobody can hear you scream

I like 325 sports, they sound amazing and look amazing but when i get enough money i wont be buying one. The only car im looking for is an M3. In my eyes its the next best thing after mine. Just cant wait to get my hands on one.

For the money the 318iS is brilliant. Plus it has more power per litre. :D

In the end they are all great cars cos they are all E30's. This argument has been done over and over again.

Its either a typo or he's been at bigun's stash. No way an m42 sounds better than the straight six. If it were all about engine noise though we'd all be driving alfa's and debating the merits of the v6 versus the flat 4.
